The Mikra is a Hebrew term which refers to the entire body of Jewish scripture.
The Tanakh is the authoritative text of the Hebrew Bible and is composed of 24 books. It is divided into three sections: the Torah, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim. The Torah contains the five books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The Nevi'im contains the prophetic books: Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the 12 Minor Prophets. The Ketuvim contains the writings: Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra-Nehemiah, and Chronicles.
